Craigslist has many facets. You can go there to track down a potential partner, get info on jobs and housing, or purchase any number of things. All of those fields have different sets of expectations, but when you are trying to purchase something from a total stranger you will come across the strongest cultural and inter-personal neurosis. Here are two separate email conversations I had with a buyer and a seller on Craigslist. I think it accurately demonstrates some folks go straight from clueless into retarded.
